The Canadian International School (CIS) is a private international school founded in 1990 in Singapore. The school offers the International Baccalaureate to students from Nursery to Grade 12. The student body is about 5,000 individuals from 80 different countries.
Today, the Canadian International School has two campuses in Singapore:
The Lakeside campus in Singapore’s west (Nursery to Grade 12), and
The Tanjong Katong campus in the East Coast (Nursery to Grade 6). The Tanjong Katong lease has been extended to August 2022
Canadian International School Tanjong – Katong Campus combines intimate indoor learning spaces and generous and natural outdoor activity and sporting areas, that provides an inviting learning environment and a strong sense of community. Among these learning spaces, the school counts with:
- A newly built Outdoor Discovery Centre, for the youngest students,
- A library,
- An amphitheatre,
- A playing field,
- Cricket nets, basketball and futsal courts,
- A STEAM makerspace and
- An outdoor classroom.
Grade levels are clustered together to allow easy collaboration and sharing between grade levels.
At CIS, the Nursery program follows a PYP inspired curriculum and offers an engaging inquiry and play-based teaching approach.
Canadian International School Tanjong – Katong Campus offers two language pathways:
- The English programme, where every child from junior kindergarten to grade 6 receives daily Chinese or French lessons.
- The pioneering bilingual programme(Chinese or French), designed to allow students to be fluent communicators in both languages.
Tuition fees for 2021/22 for the English programme vary from S$ 31.900 per year in Kindergarten to S$35,600 per year in grade 4-6.
For the biligual programme, annual tuition fees for 2021/22 vary from S$32,900 (full day only) in Nursery to S$39,100 for grades 4-6.
