International School of Paris

The ambiance at ISP is caring and nurturing with very different approaches in primary, middle and upper school. Good balance between creative arts/subjects and academics with excellent art and theatre departments. Teachers are dedicated but poorly managed and underpaid. New Director arrives next school year. Location in the middle of Paris os extremely handy. Languages are well taught. No cafeteria and limited sports facilities but Paris offers many options. Parent body relatively friendly and involved, and very international. Regular meetings between administration and parent-reps though these tend towards window dressing. There is some diversity (race, sexual orientation) amongst staff and some focus on integrating anti racism mindfulness and well being into student realities. Not much capacity for differentiation, so quick bright students may be under challenged.
