INTRODUCTION TO Queen’s College

Queen’s College is an international school founded in 1977 in Mallorca which delivers an international British programme for children between the ages of three and eighteen. Queen’s College has also become an IB World School offering the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IB DP).

LOCATION / CAMPUS

Queen’s is situated in natural surroundings, near woodland and Bellver Castle, and close to the city of Palma, the capital of the Spanish island of Mallorca (Majorca).

CURRICULUM / AGES (GRADES)

Queen’s College follows the British National Curriculum and prepares students for GCSE and GCE ‘A’ level examinations. The curriculum is yearly updated and refined in the Primary Department as in the Secondary Department:

The Foundation Stage (Nursery and Reception) from 3 to 5 years of age.

Key Stage 1 (Year 1 and Year 2) from 5 to 7 years of age.

Key Stage 2 (Year 3 to Year 6) from 7 to 11 years of age.

Secondary Department includes:

Key Stage 3 (Years 7 to 9) from 11 to 14 years of age.

Key Stage 4 (Year 10 and Year 11) from 14 to 16 years of age.

6th Form (Year 12 and Year 13)  from 16 to 18 years of age.

EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

Among the extracurricular activities offered at the school are:

Little Penguins (N-Y2), Tumble and Tots (N-R), Homework Club (Y2-9), German (Y3-6), Science (Y6-9), Chinese (Y7-13), Art (Y7-9), Study Group (Y10), Sports (Y2-6) as football, judo or rhythmic gymnastics.
