INTRODUCTION TO Taylor’s International School – Puchong

Taylor’s International School – Puchong (TIS) is a private international school in Kuala Lumpur which offers a British-based curriculum and IGCSE examinations for students aged 3 to 16.

LOCATION / CAMPUS

The school’s Puchong campus (TISPC) opened in 2015 and is located at the southern end of Puchong, a town 27 km southwest of Kuala Lumpur.

CURRICULUM / AGES (GRADES)

Taylor’s International School offers:

– The International Early Years Curriculum (IEYC) in Nursery (3-4 years old) and Reception (4-5 years old).

– The Primary School programme is based on the National Curriculum for England, enhanced by the International Primary Curriculum (IPC). It covers Key Stage 1 (Years 1 and 2) and Key Stage 2 (Years 3 to 6).

– The Secondary programme is based on the National Curriculum for England, which covers Key Stage 3 (Years 7 to 9) and Key Stage 4 (a two-year IGCSE (International General Certificate of Secondary Education) course).

Taylor’s International School (TIS) has been recognised as the Quantum Learning School by the Quantum Learning Network. Quantum Learning is a research-based educational methodology developed in the United States that integrates best practices in how teachers teach and students learn.

LANGUAGES

Language of Instruction: English is the main medium of instruction.

Extra Languages: At Taylor’s International School, students are given core training also in Mandarin and Bahasa Malaysia from Early Years up to Secondary.

Language Support: The school offers an Essential English Programme, only available in TIS Kuala Lumpur, to increase students’ confidence and proficiency in English.
