INTRODUCTION TO Agora Madrid International School
Agora Madrid International School is a private, bilingual international school in Madrid, that forms part of the education group, Globeducate. The school follows the Spanish National curriculum for students from 1 to 18 years of age. Since 2015, Agora Madrid International School has also offered senior students the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme (DP).
LOCATION / CAMPUS
Agora Madrid International School is located in a quiet residential area, El Bosque estate, in Villaviciosa de Odón. Villaviciosa de Odón is a municipality in the western zone of the Community of Madrid in Spain, approx. 15 km west of Madrid’s city center.
CURRICULUM / AGES (GRADES)
Agora Madrid International School offers the following programmes:
Preschool includes the First Stage (1 and 2 years of age), taught exclusively in English, and Second Stage (3 to 5 years of age) when the English-Spanish bilingual program begins.
Primary Education includes Grades 1 to 6 (6 to 12 years of age). All subjects are taught in English except for Spanish Language and Mathematics.
Secondary Education covers students from 12 to 16 years of age. These four years correspond to the Compulsory Secondary Education (Spanish Acronym ESO). Once the Secondary Education is completed, the students can choose to continue studying either:
Spanish Baccalaureate from 16 to 18 years of age, or
International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma program for Grades 11 and 12 (16 to 18).

EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
Extracurricular activities include sports such as mini-tennis, basketball, paddle, football, volleyball, chess, creative and dramatic arts such as singing, theatre, and dancing (funky, tap dance, ballet, flamenco), musical choreography, languages, robotics, and computing.
The school also includes the Agora International-Fabordón Music School, which provides professional musical Education from eight years old.

Admission criteria: All families interested in the school should request an appointment by filling in a form or call. On top of the formal admission application, students are invited to complete the admission tests depending on the year group they are enrolled in.
