INTRODUCTION TO HWA International School
HWA International School is a pioneering international Chinese school in Singapore. It was established in 2006 as the Chinese culture school in Singapore and continues to uphold the global vision that integrates Eastern and Western values.
HWA International School offers the IB Continuum of international education from 3-19 years old through the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP), IB Middle Years Programme (MYP), and IB Diploma Programme (DP).
LOCATION / CAMPUS
The school’s campus is in Marina Square, Singapore. It is located near the Esplanade MRT station, within a 5 to 15-minute walking distance from the MRT station.
CURRICULUM / AGES (GRADES)
HWA International School offers the International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum throughout all its stages:
Kindergarten (From Nursery to Kindergarten 2): IB Primary Years Program.
Primary School (Grades 1 to 6): IB Primary Years Program.
Middle School (Grades 7 to 10): IB Middle Years Program.
High School (Grades 11 and 12): IB Diploma.

Language Support: HWA International School offers two language support programs: English Language Support Programme (ELS) and the Chinese Language Programme (CLS). The Language Support Programmes help students to acquire the foundational English or Chinese Language skills they need.
EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
From Grades 1 to 10, HWA International School offers numerous after-school physical activities in Sports and Arts and Culture. Some activities are competitive sports such as Netball, Badminton. Others are recreational CCAs such as Choir, Board Games Club, and English Writing Club. Students have to take on at least one CCA per semester.
