The British International School of Kuala Lumpur (BSKL) is one of the leading schools in Kuala Lumpur, providing a British education from Early Years through to Sixth Form for children aged 2-18. BSKL became part of the Nord Anglia Education Group as of the 2018-2019 academic year.
LOCATION / CAMPUS
The BSKL campus is in Selangor, a 20-minute drive from the city center. It is divided into three parts: Lower, Junior, and Secondary. The Secondary campus was opened on-site in September 2016.
CURRICULUM / AGES (GRADES)
All students at BSKL– from pre-nursery through to sixth form – follow the English National Curriculum, which is reviewed frequently and in constant evolution, including IGCSE and A Level:
– Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Pre-School – Ages 2 to 5, including pre-nursery, nursery, and reception.
– Primary School – Ages 5 to 11,
– Secondary School – Ages 11 to 16. The secondary curriculum is split into two phases: Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, where students will choose their IGCSE subjects.
– Sixth Form – Ages 16 to 18, where students take the A-level examinations.
LANGUAGES
Language of Instruction: English.
Extra Languages: Mandarin, Spanish, French and Bahasa, depending on the Key Stage

EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
At BSKL, students have a number of activities to choose from, including drama, dance, and music activities offered in collaboration with The Juilliard School, global expeditions, community projects, and leadership experiences. The school offers more than 100 co-curricular activities.
