INTRODUCTION TO The Global College

The Global College offers a co-educational day and boarding school education for students from 15 to 18-year-olds, based on the IB Diploma Programme and values of IE University.

LOCATION / CAMPUS

The school campus and boarding residence are located in the heart of Madrid, in Barrio de Salamanca. Salamanca is one of the 21 districts that form the city of Madrid, located to the northeast of the historical center of Madrid and of the wealthiest and most expensive areas. The campus was previously used by IE Business School.

CURRICULUM / AGES (GRADES)

The Global College offers the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme to prepare students aged 15 to 18 for university. In addition to the IB requirements, students at The Global College must undertake an Entrepreneurship Project in teams.

LANGUAGES

Language of Instruction: English.

Extra Languages: Spanish

Language Support:  There is no EAL class within the school, given that all our students must have a good command of written and spoken English. However, support will be available on a case-by-case basis.

ADMISSION

Enrolment period: The admissions process for Boarding Students for AY 2024-2025 is open. For Day Students, it will open in September 2023 and close on January 31st, 2024.

Waiting list: YES. There is a waiting list for the September 2023 cohort for Day and Boarding Students.

Admission criteria: The admissions decision is based on academic transcripts, the information provided in the application, English language proficiency, and performance in the interview.
