The International School Nido de Aguilas is a private, co-educational, non-sectarian, non-profit day school founded in 1934. The school offers the best Chilean and North American education programs from Early Years through Grade 12 (three to 18 years of age).
LOCATION / CAMPUS
Nido de Aguilas is located on a spacious 130-acre in the foothills of the Andes range. The school is situated in one of the newest residential areas in Santiago de Chile, approximately 20 minutes from downtown Santiago.
The school provides separate facilities for each program: Early years School, Elementary School, Middle school, and High School.
CURRICULUM / AGES (GRADES)
Nido’s curriculum brings together the best in the Chilean and US educational traditions and is inspired by the educational philosophy and principles of its founders, Waldo Stevenson, and Juanita Keller.
The programs include:
– The Early Years School curriculum, serving Pre-Kinder and Kinder I students.
– The Elementary School, including from Kinder 2 – Grade 5.
– The Middle School program serves Grades 6-8. It consists of five core subject areas: humanities, science, math, Spanish and PE and Health.
– The High School, from Grade 9 to Grade 12, offers in High School three programs of study: the North American/Nido Diploma, the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma, and the Chilean National Program Diploma.

Extra Languages: Spanish from Kinder 2 to Grade 12.
Language Support: The school offers English-language acquisition support for students with a low level of English. Admission criteria: Nido’s admissions policies strive to achieve a balance in the gender, English language composition, and cultural diversity of the student population. The Admissions Committee evaluates previous school grades, confidential recommendations, and standardized assessment results.
