Established in 1965, The International School of Kuala Lumpur (ISKL) celebrates over 50 years of education. As one of the leading schools in Kuala Lumpur, ISKL is a co-educational, private, not-for-profit school responsible for the education of over 1,700 students aged 3-18 years from more than 65 countries.

According to the Head of School, Rami Madani, “Inclusion is at the very heart and soul of the ISKL’s identity. It is part of their DNA, culture and community.” ISKL tries to provide an education that challenges each student and embraces diversity.

ISKL offers an international curriculum that combines North American educational frameworks with global best practices. At ISKL there is a range of transdisciplinary pathways that enable every learner to choose the curriculum best suited to their abilities, interests, and aspirations.

High School students have even more choice this year with two innovative academic options, PRAXIS 2030 (Grade 9 and 10) and the Pursuits Program (Grade 11 and 12) added to the curriculum.

ISKL provides two pathways for Grade 11 and 12 students; the full International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma, which the school offers since 1989, and the Pursuits Program that combines student-selected individual IB, Advanced Placement and High School Diploma courses.

ISKL is located in Ampang, just 2km from the city center of Kuala Lumpur, and offers a state-of-the-art campus. ISKL’s facilities include:

  • collaborative learning spaces,
  • design technology lab,
  • science laboratories,
  • flexible teaching spaces,
  • two libraries,
  • an aquatic centre,
  • gymnasiums,
  • track and playing fields, and
  • a performing art centre.

Tuition fees per annum for the academic year 2023-2024 vary from RM 65,900 in Prep Reception to RM134,600 in Grade 9 to 12.
