LOCATION / CAMPUS
The school is in a quiet area of Bukit Timah, right next to the Swiss Club and surrounded by tropical jungle. Bukit Timah is a residential estate located in the westernmost part of the Central Region of Singapore.
CURRICULUM / AGES (GRADES)
The Swiss School in Singapore provides education according to Swiss standards and criteria (the Curricular of the Cantons of Zug and Valais) and offers two streams:
– German Stream, where classes are conducted in German and English.
– French Stream, where classes are conducted in French and English.
The school’s programs include:
— Pre-school from 2 years of age (Little Tots, Playgroup I and Playgroup II)
— Primary for children who turn four/ five years old before 31 August (Kindergarten 1 & 2 and Primary from Grades 1 to 6).
Students in Primary Grade 5 and throughout Grade 6 begin a process for a smooth transition to United World College of South East Asia (UWCSEA), which offers an affiliated program with The Swiss School for Secondary, Grades 7 to Grade 10.
Finally, the Swiss School in Singapore follows a mixed-age learning approach, which means children of two grade levels are taught together. According to the school, this allows new possibilities for teaching and learning, as children of the same age naturally progress at different rates.
