United World College South East Asia (UWCSEA) is a private international school in Singapore. The College was opened in 1971 as Singapore International School and became the United World College of South East Asia in 1975 as a UWC movement member.

The learning program at UWCSEA is based on five elements: academics, activities, outdoor education, personal and social education, and service, and the school has a written curriculum for four of those five elements: Academics, Outdoor Education, Personal and Social Education, and Service.

UWCSEA provides a  concept-based curriculum, designed to develop the knowledge, skills and understandings that the students will need to shape a better world. Learning at UWCSEA is organized around the development of disciplinary or interdisciplinary concepts (transferable ideas). The curriculum is shared across both campuses.

  • Grade 9: IGCSE, a two-year program culminating in external examinations at the end of Grade 10
  • Grade 10: FIB, a one-year foundation to prepare students with the knowledge and skills for the IB Diploma, which culminates in internal examinations.
  • Grade 11: graduates are awarded a UWCSEA High School Diploma, Most students also follow the two-year IB Diploma Programme (IBDP) which culminates in the IB external examinations.

Love this school for my kids

4.8/ 5

Our family loves this school. We have two children here, one in Grade 1 and the other in Grade 7. The teachers and staff are very competent and caring. The leadership is inspirational and they make a real effort to live the values of the school every single day. Lots of choice in terms of activities and food in the canteen. The kids are free to be themselves and there’s a lot of support available to them (and parents) if there are issues.
